Hand & foot

This is a copy of a small sketch by Michelangelo for a fresco in the
Sistine Chapel. 

When I copied it. I used brown and
white colour-soft pencils to create the
dark and light shades, lines and tones.

You can see there is a grid slightly
showing through my pencilling, which
I deliberately left so that we could see
the difference between the two
dimensional and three dimensional
forms. I am extremely pleased with
this small study, bacause I managed
to get it to look delicate and sculptural,
which was my aim.
